The Director, PMO is a senior enterprise leader accountable for driving consistent, disciplined project delivery across the organization. This role provides end-to-end oversight of the Project Management Office, including estimating, project controls, cost management, scheduling, risk management, and governance, ensuring projects are set up for success from pursuit through close-out.
The Director acts as a strategic partner to Operations, Commercial, and Executive Leadership, embedding best-in-class project delivery systems, improving predictability of outcomes, and protecting margin across a complex portfolio of large construction and industrial projects.
- Establish and improve PMO frameworks, oversee project lifecycle, chair gate reviews, and provide executive-level insights on project health and risks.
- Ensure accuracy and alignment of major estimates, validate bid strategies, and drive continuous improvement in estimating methodologies and cost feedback loops.
- Oversee cost, schedule, forecasting, and change control; enforce consistent project controls and early risk identification with corrective actions.
- Deliver portfolio-level visibility on cost, schedule, and risk; prioritize resources and lead initiatives to resolve systemic delivery issues.
- Mentor senior leaders, build succession plans, and foster a culture of accountability, rigor, and continuous improvement.

- Competitive compensation- 20–25+ years in large-scale construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects, with senior leadership roles overseeing PMO, estimating, and project controls on multi-million/billion-dollar initiatives.
- P.Eng. designation and PMP certification required, with deep expertise in capital project delivery models (EPC, EPCM, CM, Alliance).
- Strong knowledge of project controls systems, scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6), cost management, and earned value methodologies.
- Proven ability to engage at board and executive levels, translating complex project data into clear, actionable insights for strategic decisions.
- Enterprise mindset, commercial acumen, decisive and disciplined approach, strong change leadership, and trusted advisor on risk, margin protection, and delivery confidence.
