Director of Utility Sales - Northeast to lead strategic growth in the utility sector. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and driving revenue through consultative solution selling. The Director will oversee partner networks, negotiate complex contracts, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver innovative smart infrastructure solutions.- 10+ years utility sales experience

- Proven success with large, complex projects and contract negotiations
- Strong relationships with Investor-Owned Utilities, Municipalities, and Cooperatives
- Excellent presentation and consultative selling skills
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with corporate objectives, including revenue forecasting and market expansion strategies
- Lead and mentor sales agents and partner teams, providing guidance and performance oversight
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and operations to ensure customer needs are met and feedback informs product roadmap
- Manage contract negotiations and pricing strategies, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and pipeline analytics using CRM tools to track performance and identify growth opportunities
- Drive customer success and retention initiatives, ensuring long-term partnerships and satisfaction beyond initial sales
- Represent Ubicquia at industry conferences and events, positioning the company as a thought leader in utility and smart lighting solutions
- Monitor and analyze competitive trends, adjusting strategies proactively to maintain market leadership
- Maintain ability to travel assigned territory (50% +/-) and work remotely as needed- Minimum 10 years proven utility sales experience (emphasis on software, SaaS, platform, analytics, professional services, and/or consultative solution sales preferred)
- Strong existing relationships with Investor-Owned Utilities, Municipalities, and Cooperatives at mid-level management and above
- Past sales performance within the assigned sales territory and understanding of the utility market
- Experience selling lighting to the utility segment with keen understanding of procurement processes
- Large complex project sales experience
- Cooperative, self-motivated, independent, goal-oriented, loves to win and hate to lose
- Proven success in negotiations and problem solving, excellent follow-through skills
- Experience managing Agents and Selling Partners
- Ability to identify, understand, and tailor solutions based on customer needs
- Excellent presentation skills
