We are looking for a Director of Procurement for our Deland, FL office! (this is an in-office role)
Summary: The Procurement Director is responsible for developing and executing strategies that ensure cost-effective purchasing of key raw materials and all other goods and services while maintaining quality standards and compliance. This role oversees supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and leads a team to optimize purchasing processes and achieve organizational goals.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Monitor market trends for key raw materials, such as steel and chemicals
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Lead negotiations for pricing, terms, and conditions to secure favorable agreements.
- Manage risk through effective contract management and adherence to legal requirements.
- Monitor purchasing budgets and ensure cost efficiency.
- Analyze market trends to forecast pricing and supply availability.
- Supervise and mentor purchasing staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Set clear objectives and provide training for professional development.
- Provide training on ERP systems, lean purchasing practices, and supplier relationship management.
- Ensure adherence to ISO standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, KPIs, and cost savings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
