Simply HR Consulting is recruiting a Director of Operations on behalf of a growing, multi-state internet services provider. This role will lead branch General Managers and a national safety and compliance function across a distributed, multi-state operational footprint.
Reporting to executive leadership, the Director of Operations is responsible for driving operational consistency, safety, financial performance, and execution excellence across all markets, while supporting scalable growth and continuous improvement.
- Total Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000
- Base Salary: $70,000 – $90,000

The Director of Operations provides strategic and hands-on leadership across branch operations, construction, safety, compliance, fleet, and financial performance. This role ensures standardized processes, accountable leadership, and scalable execution while supporting growth, M&A integration, and operational excellence.
- Lead and hold branch leadership accountable to performance, safety, and service standards
- Oversee national safety and compliance efforts, including audits and training
- Develop and enforce national SOPs; track KPIs and project performance
- Review branch OpEx and CapEx and drive cost, efficiency, and ROI improvements
- Own fleet and purchasing standards; support vendor management and contracts
- Define training standards and support onboarding, development, and M&A integration
- Partner across operations, finance, HR, and support teams to ensure seamless execution- 5+ years of operations leadership experience leading multi-site operations in a technical or field-based environment - 2+ years leading multi-site or multi-state field and office teams
- Proven experience managing network, infrastructure, or construction operations, including field-based builds and ongoing maintenance
- Strong leadership, accountability, and execution mindset
- Data-driven approach using dashboards, KPIs, and project management tools
- Ability to lead through growth, change, and operational complexity
- Prolonged periods of computer and desk work
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Periodic travel to branch locations (typically 1–3 trips per month, 2–4 days each)
