Role Description
We are seeking for an experienced Construction Project “Billing/Collections Specialist” to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with assigned Project Managers in generating routine billing and fully managing the department’s needs. The position is responsible for obtaining, verifying, and maintaining accurate data at all times to ensure billing is accurate and timely each week and month.
Essential Skills & Abilities:
•Prior Construction Billing Experience is required.
•AIA Payment Applications (G702/G703) and Time & Material Billing Experience required.
•Process and review Job Cost Reports.
•Ability to understand contract language for billing specifications
•Collect, organize, and correct any items needed to ensure bills are generated accurately
•Execute and follow up with Lien Waiver Releases
•Accounts Receivable Reporting and Daily/Weekly Collections
•Collect, review and process pending and approved project Change Orders
•Ability to comply with project-specific billing requirements/instructions.
•Ability to work with sensitive materials and information.
•Ability to organize and multi-task efficiently.
•Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
•Must be able to create and maintain Excel spreadsheets
•Document Management – Organize and maintain project files
•Ability to problem solve and meet daily challenges.
Requirements:
•High School Diploma or GED required, two-year degree from an accredited college preferred.
•3+ years of experience in multi–Project Billing related role
•Experience with construction contract billing required
•Experience in Vista Viewpoint a plus
•Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel)
•Microsoft Excel experience required
•Positive Attitude and Work Ethics.
•Customer service driven with a “can do” attitude.
•Ability to communicate effectively in a friendly and professional manner, both verbally and in writing, with all clients and their representatives, co-workers, management, and principals.
•Ability to work under pressure and meet company expectations
This is a full-time On-site role in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
