About This Job

Assisting the Billing Department to accurately and timely process all bi-monthly water utility bills on a rotating eight-week cycle for approximately 34,000 customers.

Responsibilities

•

Assisting the Billing Dept. to accurately and timely process all bi-monthly water utility billing statements.

•

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or work with customer service regarding customer complaints in a timely manner and professional manner

•

Data entry of meter reads into the Tyler ERP Pro billing system

•

Process leak adjustment requests submitted by customers

•

Process meter change outs and ensure meter information is accurate

•

Check the data input in the billing system to ensure accuracy of final bill

•

Assist the accounting department with other accounting-related duties, projects, and correspondences as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

•

At least 5 years of experience working in Billing (preferred)

•

Prior experience in accounting or customer service (utility billing experience a plus)

•

Proficient in MS Office to include Excel; Working knowledge of relevant software (e.g. Tyler ERP Pro 10) will be appreciated

•

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

•

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues, especially in sensitive situations involving service interruptions.

•

Data entry skills with the ability to type at least 40 wpm

•

Associate’s degree in accounting, Business, or related field (preferred)
