The Commercialization Coordinator will join our Business Development Group and report to the Director of Project Management. This is a highly tactical, detail-oriented role responsible for ensuring that new product launches are executed flawlessly on the first production run. Acting as the critical link between planning and production, this position ensures that all systems, processes, and plant personnel have the right information, at the right time, to achieve launch readiness.
The Commercialization Coordinator partners closely with cross-functional teams at each manufacturing facility to manage the flow of information, track deliverables, and remove barriers to execution. - Owns the commercialization process from finalized formula with targeted first production date to official launch, on-time production readiness, including developing timelines, action logs, and pre-production checklists.
- Ensures all systems, documentation, and stakeholders are fully prepared for launch — no surprises on day one of production.
- Works closely with Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Planning, Operations, Quality, and Engineering to align priorities, resolve issues, and keep projects on track.
- Coordinates and leads pre-production meetings to confirm all requirements, specifications, and materials are in place ahead of the first run.
- Provides timely, relevant updates to internal teams and customers regarding project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Acts as the liaison with customers for updates on project timelines, action items, and budgets.
- Works with the Director of Project Management to improve tools, templates, and processes for commercialization efficiency.
- Supports Business Managers with commercialization requests and project deliverables as needed.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with production staff at all levels to ensure smooth information flow and execution.
- For some projects participation in R&D trials will be required
- 2–5 years of experience leading projects from development through launch readiness in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Food Science, Quality, Supply Chain, or related discipline) or 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.- Proven track record of coordinating complex, cross-functional projects to successful first production.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear action steps.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on timelines, task dependencies, and detail accuracy.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Smartsheet experience preferred.
- Highly organized, proactive, and self-directed with strong follow-through.
- Technical aptitude in a manufacturing environment, especially food manufacturing.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and establish strong working relationships at both plant and corporate levels.
