We are a growing solar installation company specializing in commercial and industrial solar projects across the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia markets. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, financially sound solar solutions to businesses, property owners, nonprofits, and institutional clients.
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Solar Sales Representative with deep knowledge of the DMV commercial solar market and a proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close deals.
This role is ideal for a self-driven sales professional who understands how commercial solar deals are sourced, developed, and closed—from first conversation through contract execution.
The Commercial Solar Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business, managing the full sales cycle, and building long-term relationships with commercial clients.
This is a hunter role, not an order-taker. You will be expected to proactively source opportunities, network within the market, and consistently move deals forward.
- Proactively identify and pursue commercial solar opportunities in DC, MD, and VA.
- Prospect through:

- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified commercial prospects.
- Manage inbound and outbound leads with disciplined follow-up.
- Conduct discovery calls and site visits to assess project feasibility.
- Qualify opportunities based on customer goals, financial viability, and site constraints.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking in CRM.
- Lead the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams on:
- Preliminary system sizing
- Financial modeling
- Proposals and presentations
- Present solar solutions clearly and professionally to decision-makers.
- Negotiate terms and close commercial solar agreements.

- Facility managers
- Nonprofits and institutional clients
- Stay informed on local incentives, policies, and market trends in DC, MD, and VA.
- Represent the company professionally in the local commercial solar ecosystem.- 5+ years of commercial solar sales experience.
- Direct experience selling commercial solar projects in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
- Proven track record of self-sourced deals and closed revenue.
- Strong prospecting, follow-up, and pipeline management skills.
- Comfortable with longer sales cycles typical of commercial solar.
- Ability to communicate technical and financial concepts clearly to non-technical clients.
- Existing relationships in the DMV commercial real estate or development community.
- Experience with PPAs, ownership models, and incentive structures.
- Familiarity with local permitting and utility processes.
- Experience selling to nonprofits, municipalities, or institutional clients.
