Commercial Solar Foreman

Solar Technologies, a leading Bay Area solar contractor is looking for an experienced Commercial Solar Foreman who will be working in the construction of solar PV projects, managing progress, safety and quality. As well as maintaining and supervising field personnel.

Candidates must have a clean driving record in order to operate company vehicle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage crew of 5-10 installers

- Communicate with installers, the Superintendent and Project Manager during the installation

- Follow electric, building and OSHA code and safety standards

- Climb ladders and work at elevated heights on various roof types

- Operate power tools, saws, drills and light duty equipment, bend conduit and build electrical junction boxes

- Read engineered building plans

- Make AC connections and commission monitors

- Stock vans per job at the warehouse

- Maintain a clean work site and vehicle

- Arrive at job site or shop at the scheduled time

- Knowledge and comfort with OSHA safety standards and strict adherence to company safety policies regarding fall protection and protective equipment

- Maintain a professional appearance and character on all job sites and with all customers

- Close out the job pack and upload photos for post installation and inspection teams

- Drive a company vehicle

- Other duties as assigned

Essential Skills:

- Must be highly motivated

- Minimum 4 years of commercial solar experience preferred.

- Must have 3 to 4 years managing field personnel.

- 3 to 4 years of commercial solar safety experience.

- Strong time management experience.

- Previous solar construction Foreman experience preferred.

- Must have a valid CA driver’s’ license

- Required education is high school or equivalent

- Proficient with computers, construction math and understanding engineered plans and manufacturer specs

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
