Commercial Solar Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Solar Technician to join our dynamic team dedicated to advancing renewable energy solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on various sites, including rooftops and ground-mounted installations. Your expertise will help ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of solar power systems, contributing to a sustainable future.

Duties

- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of existing solar systems to optimize performance and address any operational issues promptly.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, plumbing tools, and other construction site equipment safely and effectively during installation and maintenance activities.

- Install fixtures such as electrical boxes, conduit runs, wiring harnesses, and other system components with precision.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.

- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and system commissioning records.

Experience

- Proven experience working as a commercial electrician or in a related electrical role within the renewable energy sectors.

- Strong understanding of solar systems with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately.

- Familiarity with NEC standards relevant to solar installations and electrical safety practices.

- Hands-on experience with fixture installation, wiring techniques, and the use of hand tools and power tools in construction environments.

- Experience demonstrating the ability to work safely in dynamic environments while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

- Basic knowledge relevant to system connections or site infrastructure is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
