What We Are Looking For
The Commercial Services Foreman is responsible for leading field crews and ensuring successful execution of commercial installation and service projects across NOCO’s commercial energy division including but not limited to HVAC, EV Charging, Battery/Energy Storage Systems, Generator, and Solar.
This position provides day-to-day job leadership, technical direction, safety oversight, and quality control while maintaining strong communication with project managers, engineers, and customers. The Foreman balances hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to NOCO’s standards of excellence.
- Project Leadership: Plan, schedule, and oversee field activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Crew Supervision: Direct, train, and evaluate employees; assign daily tasks and monitor progress.
- Technical Expertise: Perform and oversee complex installations, testing, and troubleshooting for HVAC, lighting, generator, or solar systems.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect all work for compliance with design specifications, codes, and NOCO standards; perform system commissioning and documentation.
- Safety Oversight: Lead daily safety briefings, enforce OSHA and NOCO safety policies, verify PPE compliance, and complete required safety reports.
- Customer and Project Coordination: Serve as the on-site point of contact for customers, engineers, and internal project teams; communicate progress, challenges, and solutions promptly.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete service tickets, time entries, material usage, and change orders; update project management systems (e.g., Service Titan).
- Resource Management: Coordinate materials, equipment, and tools needed to complete projects efficiently.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process or training improvements to enhance team efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Mentorship: Coach and develop technicians to support career growth and succession planning within NOCO’s Commercial Services division.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or vocational training preferred.
- 5 + years of progressive trade experience in HVAC, Lighting, Generator, or Solar installations and service; prior crew lead or foreman experience preferred.- Advanced knowledge of mechanical / electrical systems and blueprint interpretation.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, testing meters, and equipment specific to the trade.
- EPA, NATE, Electrical license or OSHA 10/30 certifications preferred depending on department.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
