CNC Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, programming, and precision measurement, with experience working in a fast-paced factory environment. This role involves operating various CNC equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring high-quality production standards. The position offers opportunities for growth within a dynamic manufacturing facility dedicated to precision fabrication and assembly. The role would primarily involve running a CNC plasma table and a robotic CNC Beam processor machine, as well a few other metalworking machines. Secondary roles would involve material handling, cleaning/grinding parts cut, maintenance on the machines and any other odd jobs needed within the shop.

Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC plasma table and CNC Beam Processor

- Program CNC equipment using CAM programming to produce parts according to specifications

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to ensure accurate machining processes

- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of CNC machinery to maintain optimal performance

- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools (mainly tape measure) to verify part dimensions and quality control standards

- Handle materials safely using forklift or telehandler

- Assist in tooling setup, fabrication, assembly line tasks, and packaging as required

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols

Experience

- Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, stamping presses, and fabrication tools in a manufacturing setting

- Familiarity with CNC machines, fast-paced production environments and blueprint reading

- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, fabrication techniques, welding, and assembly processes

- Experience with quality control using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers

- Previous factory or warehouse experience preferred; familiarity with manufacturing workflows including materials handling and packaging is advantageous

- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during machining operations

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
