The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving new, profitable business growth for OSO Perforating by developing customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and promoting OSO’s perforating solutions. This role focuses on new and incremental revenue generation while maintaining pricing discipline and alignment with company profitability objectives.
- Develop and grow new business opportunities with wireline companies and operators
- Identify, pursue, and close new perforating opportunities aligned with OSO’s margin objectives
- Maintain strong relationships with customer decision-makers (operations, completions, procurement)
- Support field activity, including customer visits, product introductions, and performance reviews
- Coordinate with internal engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
- Track market activity, competitive positioning, and customer feedback
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for leadership
- Attend industry events, meetings, and shows as required
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies
- Travel is required in this role (must possess a valid driver’s license and meet the company driver requirement to operate a company vehicle while traveling)
- 5+ years’ experience in sales or business development
- Knowledge of perforating, wireline, or completions operations preferred
- Work effectively across field and office environments
- Existing industry relationships within U.S. shale basins preferred
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear, smell or taste, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, work around fumes or airborne particles, work in outdoor weather conditions (hot and cold)
- Must be able to operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools up to 50 lbs. (SEF Energy employees shall not manually lift an item weighing more than 50 lbs., they shall utilize mechanical assistance devices. If mechanical assistance devices are not available, utilize a team lift.)
- Frequently exposed to loud noises and must clearly hear voices or alarms, bells, and other noises
- Ability to see at a close distance (clear vision at 20 inches or less), see at a long distance (clear vision at 20 feet or more), identify and distinguish colors, judge distances and spatial relationships, three-dimensional vision, adjust focus (adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, explosives, risk of electric shock, and vibrations
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred
