The Office Building Maintenance Technician ensures that all building systems, common areas, and office facilities remain safe, functional, and well‑maintained. This role supports daily operations by performing routine inspections, addressing maintenance requests, and coordinating repairs to keep the workplace comfortable and efficient.
- Conduct routine inspections of office spaces, common areas, restrooms, and mechanical rooms.
- Perform general repairs including painting, patching, door hardware adjustments, and minor carpentry.
- Replace ceiling tiles, light bulbs, air filters, and other consumables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance workspaces and storage areas.
- Support preventive maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment.
- Address minor plumbing issues such as leaks, clogged drains, and fixture replacements.
- Ensure restrooms and breakrooms remain fully operational and stocked
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a hazard‑free environment.
- Identify and report potential safety risks or code violations
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of experience in building, facility, or office maintenance preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and work orders.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders or moving equipment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Primarily indoor office environment with occasional outdoor tasks.
- May require on‑call, evening, or weekend availability depending on building needs.
- Use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and safety equipment.
