Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to support our team in various accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations within the office and assisting with financial documentation and reporting.
Duties
•Perform accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
•Prepare and run bi-monthly payroll.
•Conduct account analysis to monitor financial performance and identify discrepancies.
•Utilize Quickbooks Online software for managing financial records and transactions efficiently.
•Prepare journal entries for accurate financial reporting.
•Assist in public accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
•Maintain double entry bookkeeping practices to ensure accurate record-keeping.
•Execute bank reconciliation processes to verify account balances and transactions.
•Support governmental accounting initiatives as needed, adhering to specific guidelines.
•Maintain accurate insurance records and public facing documents
•Light duty HR responsibilities.
•Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record management.
•Engage in corporate accounting activities, contributing to overall financial health.
Requirements
•Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
•Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within an accounting environment.
•Familiarity with accounts payable, receivables, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and double entry bookkeeping is essential.
•Proficiency in using Quickbooks Online software or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis effectively.
•Knowledge of public accounting principles and governmental accounting practices is a plus.
•Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
