Associate Payroll Specialist

We are currently seeking an Associate Payroll Specialist. This role offers location flexibility and may be based in Oklahoma City, OK, Willis, TX or Houston, TX.

OBJECTIVE:

Under direct supervision, the Associate Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing company payroll and ensures timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related duties, including data entry, validation, and reporting, accounting reconciliation and tax filing.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

- Supports the processing of bi-weekly payroll, in multiple states, for exempt and not-exempt personnel.

- Ensures accurate calculation of wages, tax withholding, and company deductions.

- Reviews, analyzes and verifies payroll reports and documents for accuracy; makes necessary adjustments or corrections based on established procedures. Accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll via the payroll system.

- Answers questions and provides payroll related support; Responds verbally or in writing to inquiries to all payroll inquires.

- Reviews and enters payroll transactions such as garnishments, field job bonuses, and related data.

- Prepares reports and analyses for management as requested.

- Processes employment verifications.

- Performs other duties as requested or assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent

- Work Experience: 0-2 years

- Related Experience:

- Relevant clerical and payroll experience

- Proficiency with Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Education: Bachelor's Degree

- Degree Field (s): Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline

- Work Experience: 2-4 years

- Related Experience:

- Relevant clerical and payroll experience in Ceridian Dayforce
