Position Summary for Account Payable Clerk

We are seeking an entry-level Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic accounting team at Miller Bros Solar LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, expense reports, review and reconcile invoice discrepancies, audit and process credit cards, address and respond to vendor inquiries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices and purchase orders

- Enter and maintain records of accounts payable transactions

- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies

- Maintain organized records of invoices and payment transactions

- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting tasks

- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments

- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely approval and payment of vendor invoices

- Sort and prepare checks for mailing

- Assists with related special projects, as required.

- Other duties may be assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's in Accounting preferred)

Experience & Skills:

- Previous experience in accounts payable or a related finance role

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and within a team environment

- Effective communication and organizational abilities

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
