The successful candidate will be responsible for Accounts Payable and general accounting duties, including full cycle AP accounting requirements of all products and services.
- Match all source documents, Purchase Orders, purchase receipts, packing slips, invoices and data; Input information into the SAP Accounts Payable module
- Ensure invoices have appropriate approvals before processing
- Process any credit notes for goods returned
- Ensure invoices are correctly charged to inventory, expenses, or CIP/Capital Assets
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for major vendors
- Prepare monthly reconciliation for AP sub-ledger to the General Ledger Control Account
- Ensure integrity of the purchase order information to vendor invoices
- Prepare payment runs, gather appropriate approvals and process payments
- Communicate with vendors on invoice disputes and receiving and payments of outstanding accounts
- Support other departments with vendor issues, pricing, and AP documentation
- Analyse any exchange variances
- Maintain Accounting filing system and folders
- Assume responsibility for specific reports as required
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
- Support ISO 9001 activities
- Adhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and policies
- Conduct other duties as required
- Post-Secondary education in Accounting or Finance required
- Work experience with Accounting and Operations preferred
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the executive team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Advanced Excel skills, effective working skills of MS Word, PowerPoint and e-mail
- Attention to detail in all areas of work#
