Position Summary
The Account Manager – Landscape Management Division is the owner of the client relationship and the driver of quality and performance for a portfolio of residential maintenance accounts. This role bridges the field, the office, and the client - ensuring we deliver on time, on budget, and on-brand every single time.
This position is ideal for a landscape professional who wants to grow a team, build systems, train future leaders, and deliver value beyond aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
•Serve as the primary point of contact for all maintenance clients within your portfolio.
•Conduct proactive site visits, walkthroughs, and seasonal planning meetings with clients.
•Provide estimates for enhancement work, renewals, and seasonal upgrades.
•Ensure 100% client retention by delivering consistent service and clear communication.
Production & Quality Oversight
•Schedule and oversee weekly service visits and enhancement projects.
•Conduct quality audits using Leanscaper scorecards and checklists.
•Track and improve crew efficiency, labor hours, and material usage with LMN or equivalent software.
•Solve problems before they reach the client - owning both the process and the result.
Team Leadership & Training
•Lead, mentor, and train foremen and crews in lean processes, safety, horticultural best practices, and customer service.
•Create and execute weekly tailgate talks, onboarding sessions, and skill-building workshops.
•Establish a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and pride in craftsmanship.
•Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
Operational Excellence
•Use LMN or equivalent platform to manage timesheets, job costing, and route optimization.
•Hit KPI targets for gross margin, labor efficiency, client satisfaction, and upsells.
•Collaborate with operations, sales, and finance to ensure seamless handoffs and execution.
•Take ownership of scheduling, renewals, upselling, and budget adherence for your accounts.
What We’re Looking For
•3+ years’ experience in landscape maintenance account management, preferably with team leadership experience.
•Strong knowledge of plant material, turf care, pruning, IPM, and seasonal maintenance practices.
•Confident in technology: LMN, Aspire, or similar software; MS Office/Google Workspace.
•Proven ability to train, lead, and motivate field teams.
•Bilingual (English/Spanish) a major plus.
•Grit, humility, and a no-excuses attitude.
