What you’ll do…

Heavy Equipment Mechanic 310T position available at Benmet Steel & Metal. As a vital member of our team, you will contribute to our mission of providing superior service in the scrap metal recycling sector by ensuring our heavy equipment operates efficiently and effectively.

Job Description

- Perform maintenance and repairs on our fleet of trucks and trailers with some experience working on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, and forklifts.

- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance.

- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.

- Provide exceptional service to support the overall goals of the company.

Requirements

- 310T or similar with proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in repairing heavy machinery. Familiarity with electrical systems is a plus.

- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to lift heavy objects safely as required by the job.

- A valid driver's license is preferred.
