310T Mechanic - Local Applicants Only - Toronto, Ontario
At Powerline Plus Ltd.. we focus on three main operations, Electrical, Civil Construction and Engineering & Design. Powerline Plus Ltd. provides quality solutions to public utilities, municipalities and developers, as well as to industrial, national and international manufacturing companies across the GTA.
Mechanics at Powerline Plus Ltd. inspect, diagnose, repair, adjust, overhaul and service mechanical and electrical components. Mechanical duties operated on daily basis include the following, trucks (F150, bucket trucks, hydrovac trucks), welding machines, forklifts, compressors, small engines and trailers. Mechanics participate actively and maintain ongoing relations with co-workers, various Departmental Managers and the Fleet Manager.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Completion of a Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities approved apprenticeship program – 310T
- A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in the trade
- Valid ‘G’ Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract required; Class DZ or better considered an asset
- Ability to operate manual transmission required
- Physically capable of meeting the job requirements; ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and safely climb a ladder.
