Powerline Plus Ltd. is seeking a licensed and experienced Truck & Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support our growing fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and overhauling a wide range of light-duty, heavy-duty, and specialized utility equipment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This role works closely with the Fleet Manager, Department Managers, and field teams to ensure fleet reliability, safety compliance, and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Completion of Secondary School (or equivalent)
- Completion of a Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities–approved apprenticeship program
- 310T (Truck and Coach Technician) preferred - or 310S (Automotive Service Technician)
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the trade
- Valid Class G Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- DZ license or higher considered a strong asset
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with modern diagnostic software and tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and safely climb ladders
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
