Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dependable Yard Hand to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of our yard and surrounding areas. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for staff and customers.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine yard maintenance such as sweeping, trash removal, snow removal and organizing tools and equipment.

- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including janitorial duties like mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.

- Operate heavy machinery safely to load and unload customers, as well as move steel around the yard.

- Conduct visual inspections of vehicles for damage and mechanical issues and report findings promptly to safety liaison.

- Support tasks as needed to uphold a tidy and safe environment for staff and customers.

- Perform weekly yard counts.

- Manage customer pickups and drop offs.

Requirements

- Previous experience in customer service work is preferred but not required; a positive attitude is essential!

- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting moderate weights, and working outdoors in every weather conditions.

- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist customers professionally.

- Prior experience operating heavy equipment is mandatory; willingness to learn is key!

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
