Wheel Loader Operator - Above Ground Mining Industry

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective The Wheel Loader Operator is responsible for running and operating the job site Wheel Loader safely and efficiently. Ability to understand loading techniques and working faces. Load hoppers and haul trucks competently and maintain stockpiles. This position requires high attention to detail and constant awareness of its surroundings.

- Responsible for wheel loader equipment operation functions

- Understand loading techniques and working faces

- Load Hoppers and Haul Trucks

- Maintain stockpiles

- Communicate effectively with job site staff to ensure a safe work environment

- Report any noncompliant issues or problems to the site Foreman within a timely manner.

- Daily equipment walk around and inspection.

- Following all MSHA requirements daily

- Dig ditches and assist with setting water pumps

Required Experience

- 2-3 years of Wheel Loader experience

*Preferred Experience

- One year of construction industry experience.

- MSHA Certification

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift

- Monday to Saturday

- Sunday as needed
