Welder (Manufacturing Industry)

Welder - Afternoon Shift, NO WEEKENDS

Hours: Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00am (40hrs/week)

Starting Wage: $26.18 (Increases to $27.55 at 6 months of employment)

Shift Premium: $0.90/hr

Bonus Pay:

Opportunity to earn up to an extra $4 per hour just for showing up to work! (rules and conditions apply)

Summary:

StoRRack Manufacturing Ltd. (located in Colborne, Ontario), is seeking skilled production welder for a vacant position. (CWB certified required)

Special qualifications / certification:

CWB Certification (GMAW & MCAW)

Knowledge of CWB welding procedure data sheets

Lift truck license (An asset, but not required)

Propane Training (An asset, but not required)

Overhead Crane Training (An asset, but not require)

WHMIS Training

Able to read blueprints / drawings

Duties:

Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA)

Perform pre-shift inspection and enter into log book

Load, set up, and remove material to and from welding jig

Weld materials together according to drawings

Move full racks of welded materials to paint line

Move material using a lift truck (*If Necessary)

Maintain and ensure quality of finished products

Other tasks as assigned by the company- May be required to perform general labour duties in another department.

General housekeeping, all materials placed in designated areas

Attend all continuing education and required job related training provided by the company.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Hearing Protection

Safety glasses

Welding gloves

Work boots

Respirator (Must be clean shaven for a proper seal)

Welding helmet (Auto Darkening)

Physical Demands:

Some heavy lifting required- at least 50lbs

Manual material handling may be necessary

Standing / Repetitive tasks involving bending and twisting for long periods of time
