Production Welder

PRODUCTION WELDER

MIG welding for the assembly of dowel baskets. We are looking for like-minded, goal oriented and dependable people to join our team!

Our production welders work as a team to gather material, lay out components that make up our paving baskets then weld the baskets together.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications.

- Set up and stage materials, tools and equipment required for daily production.

- Align parts or workpieces to ensure proper assembly.

- MIG welding to assemble metal components.

- Record production data.

- Calculate specific material used/ needed to maintain on-hand material.

- Ensure efficiency in operations to meet or exceed production schedule.

- Direct helpers or production activities.

- Keep work area neat and organized.

- Understands and demonstrates industrial safety, specifically working knowledge of OSHA’s 1910 welding requirements.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- You must be able to lift up to 100 lbs assisted.

- You must be able to work in extreme temperatures, hot and cold.

- Manual Dexterity – holding or moving items with your hands.

- Arm / Hand Steadiness- keeping your arm or hand steady.

- Near Vision – seeing details up close.

- Visualization – imagining how something will look after it is moved around or changed.

- Multilimbed Coordination – Using your arms / legs together while sitting /standing /lying down.

- Problem Sensitivity – Noticing when problems happen.

Education and Experience:

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent relative work experience of 4 + years.

- Production welding experience, MIG / TIG

- Vocational or Technical School is not required, but preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
