Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic Metals manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, ensuring all work meets safety standards, quality specifications, and industry codes. - Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes
- Perform FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW, MIG , TIG welding with a focus on quality and safety standards
- Fabricate metal components using steel metal techniques, plasma cutting, press brake machines, Saws, Drills, Plasma tables and hand tools
- Fit and assemble fabricated parts accurately according to specifications, utilizing Tape Mesures, calipers, and other measurement tools
- Operate power tools, rigging equipment, forklifts, machining tools, and pipe threading machines safely and efficiently
- Conduct mechanical assembly of structures or equipment following AISC, AWS codes & standards while adhering to safety protocols
- Use schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise fabrication and assembly of structural Steel and various metal components
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace; inspect completed work for quality assurance; troubleshoot fabrication issues as they arise
- Proven fabrication experience with the ability to adapt to various project environments
- Proficiency in FCAW, SMAW, MIG, TIG welding techniques
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation
- Skilled in using calipers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment
- Mechanical knowledge including rigging, machining, and assembly processes
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and material estimation.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as AISC, AWS codes & standards; understanding of crane operation and forklift certification is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
