Reporting to the Purchasing Agent, the Warehouse Worker I is responsible for handling, organizing, and moving materials within a warehouse to support production and shipping operations.. This role plays a key part in inventory management, order fulfillment, and fostering a productive and safe work environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Receiving and storing materials by unloading shipments and verifying inventory
- Picking and staging orders for production and shipping according to work orders
- Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes
- Building shipping crates and ensuring products are properly packaged for transport
- Maintaining accurate inventory records through scanning and documentation
- Ensuring a clean and safe workspace by following safety protocols and organization standards
- Receives and organizes inventory.
- Follows work instructions for picking, packing, and shipping under supervision.
- Operates basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Assists in building shipping crates under guidance.
- Begins training in cycle counts and inventory audit processes
- Places orders on pallets and secures them using stretch wrap, shrink wrap, and strapping.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or business is a plus.
- 2-5 years of warehouse experience.
Forklift certification (preferred).
- Ability to complete projects with accuracy and precision.
- Ability to safely use machinery and tools involved in warehouse work.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Able to use basic hand tools.
- Able to perform basic computer functions.
- Utilize basic math skills in all units of measurement.
- Basic ability in reading and writing.
- Detail-oriented and consistent.
- Works well as a productive member of a team.
- Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Managing one's own time effectively.
- Regular attendance is critical and required for this position.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear, and be able to tolerate repetitive motion during the full course of a scheduled shift.
- Must be able to lift and/or move more than fifty (50) pounds.
- Able to physically multitask.
This position regularly works in a typical warehouse environment, including being near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles. Most of their time, the Electrical Panel Builder will spend time in the plant with low to moderate exposure to noise, heat, and cold environment, other physical requirements include walking, bending, hand dexterity, speaking, seeing, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds Steel toe shoes, earplugs, and safety glasses are always required while on the production floor.
