In addition to our novel well sealing technology, BioSqueeze Inc. is collaborating with the DoD on several strategic applications of our technology, including soil stabilization and concrete infrastructure repair. BioSqueeze Inc. is currently collaborating with DARPA, ERDC, AFRL and PACAF on several initiatives.
Job Summary:
BioSqueeze Inc. is looking for a seasoned business development leader to lead our Dept. of Defense and Gov’t outreach efforts.
Roles & Responsibilities:
•Assume full responsibility for building and leading our DoD and Gov’t relations.
•Interface closely with our Research & Development team to create proposals and define differentiated and highly impactful solutions for DoD end users.
•Network across the DoD and Gov’t agencies (DOE, etc.)
•Develop strategies and drive results in government sales
•Represent our company with the utmost professionalism
•Attend trade shows and industry events
•Identify and develop new business opportunities using relational-based selling techniques.
•Drive the process of drafting, refining, and submitting comprehensive proposals in response to client and industry requests and interest.
•Leverage and update CRM system to track and manage customer interactions.
•Identify features/functionality desirable to first customers.
•Design, implement, and regularly review business development strategies, ensuring they remain aligned with client needs, industry trends, and company objectives.
•Perform a Competitive Analysis including potential competitors, the strengths and weaknesses of their products, and their market price.
•Develop a commercialization/ marketing strategy including initial customer calls, trade shows, conferences, etc. Work with digital marketing specialist to tailor existing content and generate new content for articles and social media.
•Lead sales negotiations and develop supporting contracting and partnership documents.
•Develop detailed budget estimates for proposed projects, ensuring profitability while maintaining competitive pricing.
•Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure proposals are accurate, innovative, and competitive.
•Attend workshops/ conferences and generate appropriate outreach to potential customers.
Qualifications & Skills:
•10+ years of experience in sales or business development with a focus on the Department of Defense or Defense Contractors.
•Strong project management skills and exceptional communication skills
•Strong understanding of the DoD acquisition process, contracting vehicles, and federal procurement guidelines.
•Ability to excel within ambiguous and changing environments and with multiple priorities
•Proven ability to develop strategies and drive results in a government sales environment as well as excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
•Established network of contacts within various DoD branches and familiarity with technology solutions used by defense agencies
•A bachelor’s degree in sciences, engineering, or related field is encouraged. Master’s degree in business management or advanced technical degree preferred
•Experience in startups, new technology or early stage companies preferred
•Military/DoD background with understanding of procurement process is preferred
•Successful candidate will require security clearance. Preference for previous or existing clearance.
