Description
This role serves as a key member of the senior executive team reporting directly to the CEO. They are responsible for driving operational improvement and high-impact, strategically aligned initiatives across all areas of the business. This position will work with the P&L businesses, owning the Project Controls group, to drive standardization, margin improvement, and risk mitigation. This is a high-visibility role designed for a results-driven executive with a track record of operational excellence and transformational leadership. In addition to the operations focus, this candidate will play a critical commercial role – owning marketing and sales effectiveness, contributing to enterprise-level strategic planning, and supporting mergers and acquisitions activities. An individual in this position is also seen as a successor for large P&L ownership and executive advancement.
This role affords a competitive compensation package. Remote candidates will be considered with the expectation of occasional travel to our offices. Key Responsibilities Business Results:
Drive revenue growth, cost discipline, and business value. Provide strategic oversight and execution of operational plans that impact bottom line results.
Operational Efficiency
Partner with our existing Operational Efficiency leader (reporting to this role) to enhance the mindset of all employees to one of continuous improvement, by driving a “kaizen” approach to increased efficiencies in the business.
Strategic Impact
Identify and optimize strategic opportunities and solutions that positively impact revenue streams, profitability, and the overall strength of the company and brands. Evaluate opportunities for geographic, service line, or client expansion – including through partnerships and M&A.
Business Oversight & Integration
Lead special projects that enhance operational efficiency and drive transformation. Be a strategic “force multiplier” across teams to accelerate execution and innovation. Champion cross-functional alignment between Operations, Sales, and Finance to improve forecasting, delivery, and profitability.
Industry Leadership & Influence
Serve as a visible leader in the industry, enhancing the company’s reputation and building key external relationships to support business growth and strategic alignment. Represent the company with key utility clients and industry stakeholders, driving strategic dialogue and deepening relationships.
Marketing And Sales
Optimize Marketing and Sales leadership and approach to drive revenue growth, build go-to-market strategies and improve customer engagement.
Project Controls & Governance
Ensure effective project governance and execution excellence across business lines, clients and entities. Implement systems and processes that drive increased accountability, improved margins, and reduced risks.
M&A Involvement
Participate in M&A evaluation and integration processes. Contribute to strategic decision-making on potential deals.
