Tallman Technologies is a Canadian company founded in 1875 and is a leader in the design and manufacturing of solids and gas injection technologies for the global steel industry. Tallman's focus is on developing technologies that reduce steelmaking CO2 emissions while improving safety and productivity. Tallman also manufactures a variety of non-ferrous cast products for the electric motor and other large industries. Tallman is a fully integrated manufacture with in-house computer modeling, casting, machining, welding and assembly operations.

We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team.

Ideal applicant has experience TIG welding carbon steel and stainless steel as well as experience with MIG welding processes and various grinding and cutting tools. You must be be able to read blueprints or technical schematics. We expect our team members to have strong attention to detail in order to ensure the quality of each weld and the safety of the workplace.

We will provide training on copper welding and other procedures as necessary.

We have recently installed a handheld laser welding machine and candidates interested in learning this process are a plus.

Hourly rate based on candidates skill and experience

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Carry out skilled TIG welding work on various components

- Follow blueprints/technical schematics

- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications

- Understand plans and requirements for each task

- Assemble component parts using appropriate hand/small power tools.

- Clean and maintain all equipment and tools and maintain a safe and clean working area

- Pressure test and dye check specified welds
