Job Overview
Responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components on construction sites and in manufacturing environments. Fabricate, position, align, and fit parts of pipe, plates, and structural metal products. Install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and/or FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) welding techniques with precision
- Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
- Fabricate ductwork, piping, sheet metal components, and structural elements according to specifications
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks
- Follow ASME codes & standards to ensure all welds and fabrications meet industry safety and quality requirements
Qualifications
Craft I
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Craft II
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and three (3) to six (6) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Craft III
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and five (5) to ten (10) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Must be willing to travel and have a STAR card.
