Job Description

The Team Lead – Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory control, and workflow coordination. This hands-on role ensures all shipping and receiving tasks are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently while leading a team of warehouse associates.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support a team of warehouse employees in shipping, receiving, inventory, and general warehouse functions.

- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts.

- Enforce safety procedures and company policies, promoting a clean and organized workspace.

- Assist in loading/unloading trucks, packaging, labeling, and staging materials as needed.

- Identify process improvements and recommend changes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

- Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve shipping or receiving issues.

Qualifications

- Forklift certification strongly preferred.

- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, safety standards, and logistics best practices.

- Proficient with inventory software and basic computer systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, Excel).

- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

- Previous experience in warehouse/shipping & receiving roles, including leadership responsibilities is preferred
