The Shipping and Receiving Manager is a key leadership role within our manufacturing facility, responsible for the complete flow of materials and finished goods in and out of our manufacturing facility. This hands-on leadership role is critical to keeping production operations running smoothly by maintaining accurate inventory, meeting delivery commitments, and managing a high-performing warehouse team.

Location: 3411 Woodhead Dr, Northbrook, IL 60062
- Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, timely processing, and compliance with company and carrier standards.
- Manage and schedule a team of shipping/receiving clerks and warehouse associates, including performance reviews and training.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and sales teams to align shipping schedules with manufacturing output and customer delivery expectations.
- Monitor inventory levels by reconciling shipping and receiving records, conducting cycle counts, and flagging discrepancies.
- Ensure the shipping/receiving dock and warehouse areas meet safety, cleanliness, and OSHA compliance standards.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (ERP) software to track shipments, generate reports, and maintain accurate records such as pick slips, bills of lading, certificates of conformance, etc.
- 3-5 years minimum experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership experience managing a team in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international freight regulations, customs documentation, and carrier compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) and familiarity with material handling equipment
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred
- Previous inspection experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or composites manufacturing.
- Familiarity with advanced materials such as composites and thermosets.

Climate-controlled manufacturing facility with state-of-the-art machining equipment. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50lbs, and working in an environment with noise and exposure to composite dust (proper PPE provided). Some flexibility for shift coverage may be required.
