LCRA Parks is a dynamic park system that strives on providing amazing experiences to the community. From rock climbing and kayaking to UTVs and ropes courses, we have it all. This position will be responsible for holding the standard of our summer camp programming high to achieve LCRA Parks’ goal of being the most dynamic in the nation. - Coordinates outdoor recreation and natural science programs designed to deliver meaningful stewardship education including water quality and natural resource protection
- Assist in the development of programs and update programs as necessary
- Prepare, organize and clean up activity sites and equipment
- Lead pre-program orientation with participants on program and safety rules.
- Observe necessary precautions to secure the safety of program participants and render routine first aid in cases of minor injury and implement effective safety measures
- Respond to comments, questions and complaints from program participants
- Conduct pre-program inspections of equipment and repair and maintain equipment
- Drive, as needed, while providing programs
- One or more years of relevant experience.
- Driver's License
- Three or more years of relevant experience
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Experience facilitating challenge course programs or working at height
- Experience guiding or instructing in kayaks, canoes, or rafts
