Responsibilities

What You’ll Do as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner

As a

Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Lewis Services

, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor supporting our Region 1 operations. This role partners closely with regional leadership to strengthen HR operations, ensure compliance, support labor relations, and help drive organizational effectiveness across one of our largest operating regions.

You will play a key role in supporting leaders, maintaining strong HR frameworks, and ensuring the region operates with consistent processes and policies.

HR Leadership and Employee Support

- Serve as the primary HR partner for Region 1 leadership, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation

- Partner with the Senior Manager of Employee Relations on disciplinary actions, investigations, and sensitive employee matters

- Support leaders and employees with questions related to benefits, total rewards, compliance, and HR programs

- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership while ensuring consistency with company policies and practices


Policies, Procedures and Compliance

- Communicate HR policies and procedures across the region and ensure consistent implementation

- Maintain strong compliance standards and reinforce structured HR processes

- Stay current on employment laws, regulatory updates, and compliance requirements

- Proactively advise leadership and key stakeholders on regulatory changes that may impact operations


Recruiting and Workforce Planning

- Support recruiting efforts within Region 1 and help ensure a structured and professional hiring process

- Partner with regional leaders to define role requirements and support candidate selection decisions

- Collaborate with corporate HR and recruiting teams to align workforce planning with business needs


Labor Relations and Contract Management

- Support labor relations activities, including interactions with union representatives

- Assist with prevailing wage requirements, contract interpretation, and contract modifications

- Participate in union negotiations and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements

- Coordinate with key stakeholders on compensation, employee relations, and benefits matters related to union agreements


Training and Development

- Partner with the Training and Development Manager to support ongoing education and leadership development initiatives

- Assist with new hire onboarding programs and supervisor development initiatives

- Support training programs such as GF School and other learning opportunities for regional teams


Organizational Structure and HR Operations

- Maintain a structured and well organized HR environment aligned with Lewis Services operational standards

- Ensure HR processes are documented, consistent, and aligned with best practices

- Collaborate with corporate stakeholders and regional leadership to support organizational planning and workforce needs


Qualifications

What You Bring Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field - 8+ years of progressive HR experience - 5+ years of experience in union negotiation, labor relations, and contract administration

- Demonstrated experience supporting recruiting, employee relations, and HR compliance initiatives

- Strong communication skills with the ability to advise and influence leaders across a region

- Knowledge of HR laws, compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks


Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

- 10+ years of progressive HR experience

- SHRM, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Ability to interpret and analyze policies, contracts, and HR documentation

Reclutamiento y Planificación de la Fuerza Laboral

Relaciones Laborales y Administración de Contratos

- Asistir con requisitos de salario prevaleciente, interpretación de contratos y modificaciones contractuales

- Participar en negociaciones sindicales y asegurar el cumplimiento de los convenios colectivos de trabajo

- Coordinar con las partes interesadas clave en temas de compensación, relaciones laborales y beneficios relacionados con acuerdos sindicales


Capacitación y Desarrollo

- Colaborar con el Gerente de Capacitación y Desarrollo para apoyar iniciativas continuas de educación y desarrollo de liderazgo

Estructura Organizacional y Operaciones de Recursos Humanos

- Mantener un entorno de Recursos Humanos estructurado y bien organizado alineado con los estándares operativos de Lewis Services

- Colaborar con las partes interesadas corporativas y el liderazgo regional para apoyar la planificación organizacional y las necesidades de la fuerza laboral


Lo Que Aportas

Calificaciones Requeridas

- Licenciatura en Recursos Humanos, Administración de Empresas, Gestión o un campo relacionado

- Más de 8 años de experiencia progresiva en Recursos Humanos

- Más de 5 años de experiencia en negociación sindical, relaciones laborales y administración de contratos

- Experiencia demostrada apoyando iniciativas de reclutamiento, relaciones laborales y cumplimiento de Recursos Humanos

- Sólidas habilidades de comunicación con capacidad para asesorar e influir en líderes a nivel regional

- Conocimiento de leyes laborales, requisitos de cumplimiento y marcos regulatorios de Recursos Humanos


Calificaciones Preferidas

- Maestría en Recursos Humanos, Administración de Empresas o un campo relacionado

- Más de 10 años de experiencia progresiva en Recursos Humanos

- Certificación SHRM, PHR o SPHR preferida
