We are seeking an experienced
Senior Cyber Capability Developerto support a large federal law enforcement mission focused on combating sophisticated cyber threats. This role is ideal for a highly technical cyber professional with deep expertise in
vulnerability research, reverse engineering, malware analysis, and digital forensics, who thrives in complex, mission-critical environments.
In this position, you will conduct advanced technical analysis to identify and exploit vulnerabilities across software, hardware, and systems, while developing innovative cyber capabilities to support lawful collection, investigations, and national security operations. You will collaborate closely with technical and operational teams to translate research findings into actionable solutions that strengthen cyber defense and investigative capabilities.
- Perform advanced cyber threat analysis, including malware reverse engineering, network traffic analysis, memory forensics, and disk forensics
- Conduct static and dynamic analysis of known and unknown binaries, compiled software, scripts, and firmware
- Execute vulnerability research to identify, analyze, and validate security weaknesses in software, hardware, and systems
- Design, develop, and enhance cyber operational and analytic capabilities to support technical operations and forensic analysis
- Research and engineer solutions to counter complex threats posed by criminal and national security adversaries
- Support cyber and computer intrusion investigations through in-depth technical analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to integrate findings into mission-critical tools and workflows
- Document technical assessments, risks, and mitigation recommendations for stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging vulnerabilities, exploits, tools, and attack techniques
- Provide recommendations for continuous process and capability improvements
- Minimum
8 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
(or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and work history)
- Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
- Demonstrated expertise in
vulnerability research, malware analysis, and reverse engineering
- Strong working knowledge of
network traffic analysis, memory forensics, and disk forensics
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as
IDA Pro, Ghidra, debuggers, and disassemblers
- Experience analyzing cyber intrusions and technical data in advanced threat environments
- Applied experience in forensic analysis, network analysis, and malware analysis
- Experience working in collaborative, team-based software development or engineering environments
- Ability to work across multiple operating environments using rapid development methodologies
- Experience developing or managing solutions across multiple technical environments
- Advanced cybersecurity certifications related to
reverse engineering or vulnerability research
- Prior experience supporting
federal law enforcement or government cyber operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document complex technical findings
