HOURS OF WORK: Up to 25 hours weekly between Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday 9:15 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. with the possibility of occasionally working earlier than 9:00 a.m. or later than 4:00 p.m. to support special events/projects.

FILLING DEADLINE: Sunday, February 1, 2025, or the first 50 applicants; whichever occurs first.

INTRODUCTION: Human Resources will screen applications and supplemental questionnaires. Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements will be forwarded to the hiring department for further review. Those who possess the strongest skills and experience will be invited by the Hiring Department for an interview.

REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug screening and a background check.

Ideal candidate would have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with guests visiting the Springs Preserve in a fun and engaging manner.

GENERAL PURPOSE: Under direct supervision, assists with a variety of duties in support of conservation education programs of Springs Preserve. Participates in conducting a variety of youth, adult and family programming as assigned. Engages guests of various ages in conservation education sessions, activities and events throughout Preserve venues. Ability to engage program participants of all ages in learning and appreciating lessons of the natural world. Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external guests.

ELIGIBILITY/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in any field

- Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)

- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher

- Available to work up to 25 hours weekly

- A valid Nevada driver’s license

- Legal right to work in the US, including authorization to work off-campus
