Who we're looking for

Our Calgary branch is looking for a hands-on, ticketed Millwright/Welder with Sales and material handling / mining experience preferred. Some job planning experience to:

- Compliment our technical outside sales team

- Help generate mechanical services work and scope jobs

- Lead our mechanical team on jobs in the field

This role position combines customer-facing technical sales with the end-to-end management of industrial service projects. The ideal candidate brings industrial or mechanical experience (millwright preferred), strong communication skills, and a proven ability to coordinate field crews and deliver high-quality project outcomes. With approximately 70% out-of-town travel, this role requires a high level of autonomy, flexibility, and commitment to customer success.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities (Include all the essential functions of the job):·

- Maintain excellent customer relationships; proactively service existing accounts and identify new business opportunities within assigned territory.

- Conduct belt and conveyor system inspections and provide technical recommendations.

- Scope service work accurately and coordinate field crews in conjunction with Service Supervisors and the Shop Foreman.

- Lead planning and execution of out-of-town projects, including logistics, crew scheduling, and material handling.

- Collaborate with Inside Sales and Service teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.

- Provide on-site support during key installations and service jobs as needed.

- Maintain clear and regular communication with the branch team to share customer updates, service needs, and sales leads.

- Prepare project proposals and reports, ensuring timely submission of monthly sales activity and travel reports.

- Promote safety and ensure compliance with internal and external procedures, especially during field operations.


Required Qualifications


Knowledge/Education & Experience:

- 3–5+ years of industrial sales and/or project management experience.

- Ticked Millwright/Welder

- Experience working in field-based service or installation environments.

- Proven record of achieving sales targets and delivering excellent customer service.


Certifications:

- Ticked Millwright/Welder

- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certified.

- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.


Skills & Abilities:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (in-person, phone, and email).

- Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities.

- High comfort level with out-of-town travel (up to 70%).

- Strong computer literacy (MS Office, Outlook, mobile reporting tools).

- Ability to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate technical solutions, and follow through to project completion.

- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently in remote environments.

- Understanding of service work fundamentals and job costing.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $88,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
