The Shipper/Receiver, under the direction of the Foreman, will perform a variety of functions including, but not limited to, shipping and receiving of products to and from customers, vendors, and suppliers. The Shipper/Receiver will also be responsible for deliveries using the company truck, while complying with applicable legislation, including safe operation, carriage of goods, drivers’ hours of service, and occupational health and safety.

- Loading, unloading, and unpacking all raw materials and other merchandise with forklift or overhead crane.
- Palletizing shipments, including preparing and/or reviewing paperwork including verification of destination and all serial or lot numbering information and item quantities.
- Receiving deliveries and raw material; including completion of paperwork and verification of all serial or lot numbering and item counts, measuring, stamping, and hardness testing if required.
- Delivering and picking up customers oilfield equipment and products for operations in the city and surrounding area.
- Tagging and painting of valves and other equipment.
- Delivering material to appropriate location or placing material on appropriate shelve, rack or bin.
- Coordinating shipments/deliveries with customers, vendors, and/or suppliers.
- Performing pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections on vehicle and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness.
- Providing feedback to management regarding customer problems or delivery problems.
- Informing management of any accidents, traffic violations, and/or damage to the vehicles.
- Performing daily and weekly preventative maintenance of the work area.
- Providing excellent customer service; acting as a liaison between the company and its customers/vendors; phone calls, emails as required.
- Promoting a safety culture as well as attending all safety meetings.
- Any other duties as directed by the Foreman.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of shipper/receiver experience.- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
- Some Oilfield experience and working in the shop environment.
- Able to always display a good aptitude along with the ability to learn and
- retain knowledge of Company’s products and services.
- Self-starter: motivated, task focused, and results driven.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to sit, and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, twist and climb stairs.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs and carry equipment.
- Crane Training is required.
- Forklift Training is required
