The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the accurate and efficient movement and control of specialized Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) tools, equipment, materials, and consumables at the Nisku facility. This position ensures all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed according to company standards. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and proficient in logistics and computer-based inventory management. This position is also responsible for maintaining a highly organized and efficient yard in strict adherence to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming tools, equipment, and materials against purchase orders (POs), invoices, and delivery manifests. Note and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
- Provide general operational support to the NDT and Repair shop teams, moving equipment and materials as required to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Meticulously track and record tools using their serial numbers, connections, and dimensions in the inventory management system for precise accountability before shipment.
- Create detailed shipping and receiving tickets, ensuring serial numbers, quantity, and customer details are recorded with 100% accuracy.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule timely pickups and deliveries.
- Operate a forklift in a safe and skilled manner to securely load and unload tools.
- Operate the company vehicles as required in a safe and courteous manner.
- Deliver and pick-up tools from customer facilities in Nisku and surrounding areas.
- Unpack, organize, and route tools and materials to designated storage areas in the yard.
- Maintain internal computerized and manual record-keeping systems for all shipping, receiving, and material movements.
- Assist with regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe environment.
- Complete and participate in daily hazard assessments and pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Ensure all lift trucks and material handling equipment are inspected and maintained daily in proper working order, including filling out necessary maintenance forms and HSE documents.
- Be available for scheduled after-hours support as determined by the supervisor.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the shipping/receiving areas, and yard.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse, or Inventory role, preferably within the oil and gas, NDT.- Proven experience handling 30-foot tools is required.
- Current and valid Forklift Operator Certification.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing tasks.
- Proven proficiency in accurate data recording, specifically with alpha-numeric information and serial numbers.
- Proficiency with computer applications.
- Be available for scheduled after-hours support as determined by the supervisor.
- Demonstrate a willingness to cross-train and learn other areas of the company's operations.
- Experience with a 30 foot Goose Neck trailer is considered a strong asset.
