Services and Dewatering

We are looking to hire Services and Dewatering to join our team at the Timmins West Mine in Timmins, ON., on a full-time basis.

The schedule is 5-5-4, 10 hour shifts rotating days and nights.

In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining and mucking underground sumps, moving waste material from various levels underground and loading waste trucks. You will also be responsible for transporting fuel and oils underground to various levels. You will assist with the movement of materials as needed including ground supports, scrap runs, general housekeeping and operating the boom truck.

Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.

Position Details

Compensation: This position offers a compensation range of $32.95 – $43.50 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Experience will be based on Common Core ministry modules.

- Previous underground experience is required

- Common core specialty modules U0068A and U0068B Trackless Haulage

- Practice good housekeeping

- Be committed to safety

- Basic UG Hard Rock Common Core is required

About Us

The Timmins West mine is located approximately 18 kilometers west of Timmins, Ontario, one of the world’s most prolific gold camps. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt. The Timmins West mine is comprised of the Timmins deposit, the Thunder Creek deposit, and the 144 Gap deposit. All three deposits are interconnected by underground drifts.

The Bell Creek Complex, located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Timmins, Ontario, consists of an underground mine and processing facility. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt, with ore mined by narrow vein longhole stoping methods. Ore is then transported to surface via a modern one thousand eighty metre deep shaft capable of forty-eight hundred tonnes per day.
