Job Summary:

The tractor-trailer driver will safely and efficiently drive a tanker, straight-truck, box truck, or other appropriate vehicle to transport non-hazardous and hazardous (with proper licensing) liquid waste water to various customer locations in a timely and professional manner.

Job Description:

- Operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) according to DOT regulations

- Utilize assigned route while obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations

- Maneuver CMV into loading and unloading areas

- Assist with loading and unloading of products, using specialized equipment when warranted, and returns all equipment to designated area

- Maintain signed invoices, bills of lading, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to dispatch when work orders are complete

- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and reports maintenance malfunctions to the fleet manager and dispatch

- Other duties as assigned

Work Environment:

- Overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays

- Rotating On-Call

- Most CDL drivers have daily routes and are home nightly

- Located in Byron Center, MI

- Full-time position

Requirements:

- Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A with a clean driving record

- Tanker and hazmat endorsements required

- Must pass background checks and pre-employment drug screen, as required by law

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers

- Ability to handle prolonged periods of sitting in a cab

- Ability to remain focused in busy environments

- Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds
