Job Description:
The Senior Strategic Supply Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s supply chain strategy to ensure cost-effective operations, supplier excellence, and seamless inventory management. This role focuses on developing and executing innovative strategies to drive efficiency, manage risk, and ensure reliable delivery of goods and services essential to the organization’s operations.
Essential Duties
• Create and implement strategies to improve the supply chain, focusing on saving costs and ensuring reliable operations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality and dependable service.
• Work with inventory teams to keep stock levels balanced, reduce delays, and avoid excess inventory costs.
• Research market trends and supplier options to find opportunities for better pricing or improved services.
• Plan ahead to handle potential supply chain disruptions and reduce risks to operations.
• Collaborate with other departments like engineering, operations, and finance to meet company goals.
• Negotiate better terms with suppliers to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
• Use technology and tools to streamline supply processes and make data-driven decisions.
• Track and report performance metrics, such as cost savings and supplier reliability, to leadership.
• Perform all duties assigned.
