SUMMARY: Enters data in ERP system and procures light goods and supplies. Leads and supports other team members and ensures prompt internal and external customer service. Has a focus on monitoring performance KPI’s and working with the team to achieve results against those KPI’s. Has ability to demonstrate exceptional knowledge of the ERP system and train others on system functionality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Enters goods, services, and vendor data into ERP systems. Reviews purchase requisitions.
•Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
•Selects products for purchase by reviewing pre-approved vendors, consulting with engineering and market availability.
•Seek competitive bids as needed and prepare bids review.
•Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
•Executes purchase order in SAP, and ensure all engineering specifications are met, and all applicable documents are included.
•Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
•Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
•Expedites delivery of goods to users.
•Interface with company’s engineering, production and quality and expedite deliverables from suppliers,
•Continuously evaluate supplier’s performance and market conditions, and looks for improved pricing, delivery, or service.
•Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•This job has supervisory responsibilities over members of the Supply Chain and Logistics team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Prior experience in a similar role and training are required.
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word) and ability to operate in an SAP ERP System environment.
•Detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
•Must be able to work independently and with little direct supervision and set an example to the team of work ethic and thoroughness in completing assigned tasks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
•Desk job, sitting down portions of the day when working on the computer, communicating with vendors and holding team meetings.
•Required to occasionally be in a shop environment.
•Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions
•While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
•Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
