Join our dynamic team as a Supply Chain Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of steel materials while driving efficiency, innovation, and supplier partnerships. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and have a proven track record in inventory and procurement, we want you to lead our supply chain to new heights!
About Us
We are a leading metal processing company, specializing in high-quality steel coils, sheets, and plates for industrial and commercial applications. Our commitment to precision, sustainability, and operational excellence sets us apart. With a culture of innovation and teamwork, we offer a workplace where your leadership can shape the future of our supply chain.
What You’ll Do
As our Supply Chain Manager, you’ll oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, leveraging SAP and your metals expertise to ensure material availability, cost efficiency, and operational alignment. Your key responsibilities include:
•Inventory & Procurement: Optimize safety stock levels, manage inventory valuation, and configure SAP master data for coils, sheets, and plates to ensure uninterrupted supply. Negotiate contracts with steel mills, gas suppliers, and consumables vendors.
•SAP Leadership: Utilize SAP S/4HANA or ECC (MM, PP, SD, WM modules) to streamline procurement, planning, and warehouse operations. Collaborate with IT to enhance system accuracy and workflows.
•Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Partner with sales and operations to align supply and demand, support customer-specific material purchases, and drive responsive production planning.
•Supplier Relationships: Build strong partnerships with steel mills and suppliers, securing favorable terms, reducing lead times, and ensuring on-time delivery per Owen ISO procedures.
•Strategic Impact: Lead initiatives to improve KPIs (on-time delivery, inventory turns, cost savings) and provide actionable insights through detailed inventory and supply chain analysis.
•Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production, quality, and sales teams to synchronize operations, ensuring compliance, safety, and sustainability goals are met.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a proactive leader with a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and interpersonal finesse. Our ideal candidate brings:
•Experience: 5+ years in supply chain management within metal processing, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing.
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA, APICS, or PMP certification is a plus).
•Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SAP (MM, PP, SD, WM) and Microsoft Excel; strong understanding of metals procurement, inventory control, and ERP/MRP systems.
•Leadership: Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives, negotiate effectively, and drive continuous improvement in KPIs.
•Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams, with a results-driven mindset and high social IQ.
•Preferred: Experience with steel supply chains (mills, foundries), safety stock calculations, yield optimization, scrap handling, or import/export regulations.
Why Join Us?
•Competitive Compensation: Attractive salary commensurate with experience.
