As a Senior Manager in the Supply Management team, you will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies and contracts and support day-to-day operations across several business lines, including terminals, rail, retail, and fleet. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of the key aspects of supply chain management, together with an innovative and collaborative approach. As an experienced leader, you will take a strategic approach to risk management, driving value for your stakeholders and motivating your team through your creative approach to problem solving and drive for continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities
•You will bring a deep experience of leading supply management teams, working with suppliers, managing supply risks, delivering value creation, driving accountability and bringing innovative ideas and approaches and in addition:
•Ensure procurement processes are followed, from conception to close-out, in accordance with Irving Oil Supply Management Policy and practices
•Proactively monitor and address Supply Chain risks within your area of responsibility
•In conjunction with business stakeholders, manage the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, associated bid, evaluation and award processes, contract performance, including supplier performance and relationships, all in accordance with Irving Oil’s strategic priorities
•Bring innovative ideas and mitigate risk to business continuity
•Lead the team in identifying and implementing efficiency measures through effective planning, process streamlining and staff development
•Assist business units in identifying, quantifying, reporting of value addition and/or continuous improvement opportunities related to end-to-end Supply
•Ensure best practices are applied and aligned with the needs of business stakeholders
•Establish spend visibility and analysis capabilities
•Establish a good understanding of product costing methods and product cost structure and price comparisons within product groupings
•Mentor, lead, and coach team members to support continued learning and development

Your Experience
•University degree in Business or related field
•10-15 years of experience in Supply Management
•7+ years of experience leading cross functional teams
•Experience in navigating in a fast-paced, changing environment
•Supply Management Professional (SCMP) designation would be an asset
