11:59 p.m.'s CST.Reporting to the Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) Stewardship Manager for Downstream, Midstream and Chemicals (DM&C), this position is responsible for coordinating consistent and effective deployment and execution of workforce safety and health (WSOH) initiatives across the DM&C assets on a global scale. Serves as the main point of contact for stakeholders in coordinating and managing strategic, cross-functional, and business-critical programs and projects.
Key Job Responsibilities Include
- Ensure alignment with corporate Operational Excellence (OE) standards, facilitate implementation of safety programs, and coordinate activities across multiple teams to achieve compliance and performance goals.
- Work closely with the Risk Management and Assurance team to integrate the workforce safety and health (WSOH) initiatives into the assurance plans.
- Work with assets to plan and execute deployment and monitor effectiveness. Engage key stakeholders to identify gaps and areas of improvement and prioritize highest-impact activities in the business plan.
- Responsible for tracking execution effectiveness and implementing improvement initiatives to prevent Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) events.
- Conduct periodic reviews to assess the effectiveness of the execution of the workforce safety and health (WSOH) processes and programs, monitor progress of the plans and safeguard verifications.
- Support engagements with the DM&C Leadership Teams to ensure effectiveness of workforce safety and health (WSOH) programs.
- Support the integration of Human and Organizational Performance principles and learnings across all levels of the organization as a key component to sustain a strong Operational Excellence (OE) leadership and culture.
- Lead community of practices to strengthen the focus and application of WSOH programs across DM&C.
- Strengthen the execution of WSOH programs in the organization by continuing to build fluency and developing tools that support safety performance.
- Support initiatives to optimize workflows, reduce incidents, and enhance workforce health and safety culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Safety Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HSE, or Downstream, Midstream & Chemicals Operations.- Strong knowledge of HSE Management Systems and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with change management is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong project management skills.
- Demonstration of high motivation, initiative, rigor, and sense of urgency to complete work to meet business needs.
- Problem solving skills – ability to understand complex issues quickly, analyze the data and develop appropriate solutions. Analysis and judgment frequently must be completed under tight deadlines.
- Effective in setting priorities to meet business needs; able to adapt quickly to changes in business needs
- Ability to work in a computer-based environment and employ computer-based tools to maintain databases, recognize problems and recommend enhancements.
- Good communication skills – ability to communicate effectively in English (clear, concise, accurate) both orally and in writing.
