Overview
SECG, LLC currently looking to fill two (2) designer/drafters to assist with development of fixturing and tooling in a large-scale manufacturing environment. Position involves working with a team of manufacturing engineers to develop tooling and fixturing for service and remanufacturing of mechanical components. Individuals will need to be proficient in Autodesk Inventor. Must have working knowledge of mechanical parts, tolerancing, and GD&T. This is not an architectural position nor a land survey position.
Position is located in west Oklahoma City, OK. Seeking candidates who live within 50 miles of Oklahoma City, OK. No relocation available.
Work schedule: 30 - 40 hours per week, onsite, no remote work.
Interview is in-person interview with an administered skills test for Autodesk Inventor.
- Creation of 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings in Inventor.
- Provide drafting and general design support for manufacturing team.
- Prepare and revise technical drawings from rough sketches or models.
- Understand and follow company established CAD standard procedures.
- May be assigned specific responsibilities within the office, as needed.
- A 2 year degree in drafting technology, or 4 year technical/engineering degree, or equivalent experience in manufacturing, industrial products/machines, oil and gas equipment.
- Proficient with Autodesk Inventor. Target release 2025.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong computer skids with drafting emphasis, detail-oriented, self-starter, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Work extended hours as necessary to meet critical deadlines.
- Must be an effective communicator.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering and/or technical drawings.
- The individual must interact with others within manufacturing and engineering department. The individual will also be required to interact with production floor personnel regarding designs.
- Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in written correspondence.
- Must project a professional, positive attitude.
- Work effectively both independently and as team member.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
- Will be required to assist with general engineering support during, which may require lifting and handling components that range from 5 lbs to 50 lbs.
