- Design mechanical systems using established engineering principles
- Deliver technical support to both internal teams and external clients
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, client specifications, and company policies
- Interpret client needs, identify design challenges, and develop accurate, cost-effective solutions
- Conduct technical analysis and calculations to support project designs
- Produce, review, and finalize mechanical designs in accordance with project requirements
- Select and specify system components to meet performance and engineering standards
- Oversee commissioning of customized systems both in-house and at customer sites
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company information
- Follow all health, safety, and corporate policies and report any violations
- Stay informed of company policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by the Engineering Manager
- Develop and implement innovative engineering solutions
- Provide expert technical guidance to internal staff and external customers
- Actively contribute to the design, development, and execution of engineering projects
- Participate hands-on in departmental engineering tasks
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company standards
- Complete assignments within agreed timelines and budgets, or communicate alternative plans when needed
- Work additional hours when required and approved to meet project deadlines
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or an equivalent post-secondary credential
- At least two years of experience as a designer in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
- Strong foundation in mechanical design principles and detailing practices
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management abilities
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team
- High standards of integrity, professionalism, and reliability
- Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
